2013

BIRTH OF DPKL AND THE HDCOLD ^® PATENT

Driven by the conviction that refrigeration could become smarter and more sustainable, Benoît Duparc founded DPKL, a laboratory for ideas and experiments . This is where HDCold ^® was born, a patented technology that revolutionizes preservation and energy efficiency in industrial refrigeration.

A SPRINGBOARD FOR DEVELOPMENT

The project appealed to the Occitanie Region , which granted DPKL a decisive subsidy to structure and accelerate its growth.

2020

AN INDUSTRIAL-SCALE LABORATORY

The physico-chemical research and analysis laboratory was created, with the arrival of the first collaborators. Four HDCold® cold rooms (850 m³) are put into service to test, on an industrial scale, ^the preservation of fresh products and energy efficiency.

ACCELERATION AND RECOGNITION

Scientific partnerships are strengthening and the first academic work confirms the potential of ^HDCold® technology. A new cooling technology emerges, a second patent is filed, and the first HDCold ^® system crosses borders with its installation in Switzerland, at the Agroscope research center.

TECHNICAL DEPLOYMENT AND RECONNAISSANCE

The first ^HDCold® container is sold to a research center in Uzbekistan . CTIFL cites HDCold ^® technology in its national apple-pear preservation guide, marking recognition of the sector .

OPENING AND MODELING

The partnership with ONIRIS & GEPEA allows for the modeling and optimization of HDCold ^® regulation. A first overseas collaboration with CIRAD paves the way for the conservation of exotic fruits .

CONSOLIDATION AND RADIANCE

DPKL is organizing its ^first technical day , bringing together researchers and agri-food stakeholders. Filing of the CryoNova trademark , study of a new ^HDCold® exchanger design and first independent international scientific publication on the technology .
